Motorists are advised that, to facilitate the erection of footbridge, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented on a section of Wai Yip Street near Kwun Tong Ferry Pier Public Transport Interchange in Kwun Tong with effect from 11.00 pm on 13 September 2025 to 5.30 am on 14 September 2025:

I.  Road Closure

1. A section of Wai Yip Street (eastbound) outside Kwun Tong Ferry Pier Public Transport Interchange will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic; and
2. A section of Wai Yip Street (westbound) between Hoi Yuen Road and Wai Fat Road will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic, except for franchised buses.

II. Traffic Diversion

1. Affected vehicles heading to Wai Yip Street (eastbound), from Hoi Yuen Road (southbound) or along Wai Yip Street (eastbound) near Pioneer Place, will be temporarily diverted via Hoi Yuen Road (southbound), Kwun Tong Ferry Concourse Access Road and Wai Yip Street (eastbound);
2. Affected vehicles heading to Wai Yip Street (westbound), from Kwun Tong bypass (northbound) or along Wai Yip Street (westbound) near Cha Kwo Ling Promenade, will be temporarily diverted via Wai Fat Road (northbound), Cha Kwo Ling Road (northbound), Lei Yue Mun Road (westbound), Kwun Tong Road (westbound), Hoi Yuen Road (southbound) and Wai Yip Street (westbound); and
3. Affected vehicles heading to Wai Yip Street (westbound) from Wai Fat Road (southbound) will be temporarily diverted via Wai Fat Road (southbound), u-turn, Wai Fat Road (northbound), Cha Kwo Ling Road (northbound), Lei Yue Mun Road (westbound), Kwun Tong Road (westbound), Hoi Yuen Road (southbound) and Wai Yip Street (westbound).

III. Public Transport Arrangements

1. The bus stop of KMB Route No. 40 (Tsuen Wan bound) at Wai Yip Street near Tsun Yip Street will be temporarily suspended and the route will be temporarily diverted via Wai Yip Street (westbound), King Yip Street (northbound) and resume its original routings;
2. KMB Route No. 40 (Laguna City bound) and CTB Route No. 797 (LOHAS Park bound) will be temporarily diverted via Kwun Tong Ferry Concourse Access Road, Wai Yip Street (eastbound) and resume its original routings; and
3. CTB Route No. 797 (San Po Kong bound) will be temporarily diverted via Tseung Kwan O Road (southbound), Lei Yue Mun Road (westbound), Kwun Tong Road (westbound), Hoi Yuen Road (southbound), Wai Yip Street (westbound) and resume its original routings.

      Appropriate traffic signs and road markings will be erected on site to guide motorists. The public transport operators will display notices to advise passengers of the above temporary arrangements.
