ROAD TRAFFIC ORDINANCE (CHAPTER 374)
TEMPORARY SPEED LIMIT ON TOLO HIGHWAY
In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 00.30 am to 05.30 am daily from 15 October 2025 to 17 October 2025, and, from 00.30 am to 05.30 am daily from 22 October to 24 October 2025, the following road sections will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour:
(a) the section of Tolo Highway (northbound) from a point about 60 meters north of its junction with Tai Po Road – Sha Tin to a point about 1250 meters north of the same junction;
(b) the section of the slip road leading from Sha Tin Racecourse to Tolo Highway (northbound) from a point about 160 meters south of its junction with Tolo Highway (northbound) to the same junction;
(c) the section of Tolo Highway (southbound) from a point about 1250 meters north of its junction with Tai Po Road – Shatin (southbound) to the same junction ; and
(d) the section of Sui Cheung Street (southbound) from a point about 60 meters north of its junction with Tolo Highway (southbound) to the same junction.
Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.
At the same time, the existing speed limit of 100 kilometres per hour on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
