ROAD TRAFFIC ORDINANCE (CHAPTER 374)
TEMPORARY SPEED LIMIT ON WEST KOWLOON HIGHWAY, TAI KOK TSUI

       In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that the following road sections will be temporarily subject to the speed limit as described below during the specified periods:

    1. The section of West Kowloon Highway southbound from about chainage marker 5.7 to about chainage marker 5.4 will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour with effect from 10.00 p.m. on 17 October 2025 to 6.00 a.m. on 18 October 2025;

    2. The section of West Kowloon Highway northbound from about chainage marker 4.7 to about chainage marker 5.4 will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour with effect from 10.00 p.m. on 17 October 2025 to 6.00 a.m. on 18 October 2025;

    3. The section of West Kowloon Highway southbound from about chainage marker 5.1 to about chainage marker 5.0 will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour with effect from 10.00 p.m. on 18 October 2025 to 6.00 a.m. on 19 October 2025;

    4. The section of West Kowloon Highway northbound from about chainage marker 4.2 to about chainage marker 5.0 will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour with effect from 10.00 p.m. on 18 October 2025 to 6.00 a.m. on 19 October 2025;

    5. The section of West Kowloon Highway southbound from about chainage marker 5.4 to about chainage marker 5.1 will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour with effect from 10.00 p.m. on 20 October 2025 to 6.00 a.m. on 21 October 2025; and

    6. The section of West Kowloon Highway northbound from about chainage marker 4.2 to about chainage marker 5.1 will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour with effect from 10.00 p.m. on 20 October 2025 to 6.00 a.m. on 21 October 2025.

     Appropriate traffic signs will be erected to guide motorists.

    At the same time, the existing speed limit on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
