Temporary Speed Limits on North Lantau Highway and Penny's Bay Highway

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 p.m. to 6.00 a.m. on the following day daily during the period from 2 to 8 November 2025, the following road sections of North Lantau Highway and Penny's Bay Highway will be temporarily subject to the speed limits as described below:

1. 1. The section of North Lantau Highway eastbound from a point about 700 metres west of its junction with Penny's Bay Highway southbound to a point about 550 metres west of the same junction will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour;
   2. the section of North Lantau Highway eastbound from a point about 550 metres west of its junction with Penny's Bay Highway southbound to a point about 700 metres east of the same junction will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour; and
   3. the section of Penny's Bay Highway southbound from a point about 400 metres east of its junction with North Lantau Highway westbound to a point about 900 metres south of the same junction will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour.

Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.

At the same time, the existing speed limits on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
