In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 00.00 mn to 5.30 am daily on 6 and 8 January 2026, the section of Tai Po Road - Sha Tin northbound from a point about 200 metres north of its junction with Shing Mun Tunnel Road to a point about 520 metres north of the same junction will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour.

        Appropriate traffic signs have been erected on site to guide motorists.

        At the same time, the existing speed limit on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
