TRAFFIC ADVICE
Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements for Aberdeen Goddess of Mercy Festival 2026
Members of the public are advised that to facilitate the parade of Goddess of Mercy Festival 2026, the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Aberdeen on 6 April 2026 (Monday):
A. Road Closure
(a) The section of Tsung Man Street west of Tung Sing Road will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic from 10.30 am to 12.00 noon; and
(b) The following road sections will be intermittently closed to all vehicular traffic from 12.00 noon to 2.00 pm:
(i) The section of Tsung Man Street east of Tung Sing Road;
(ii) The section of Aberdeen Reservoir Road south of Tsung Man Street;
(iii) Old Main Street, Aberdeen;
(iv) Chengtu Road;
(v) Nam Ning Street; and
(vi) Part of the traffic lanes of Aberdeen (Wu Nam Street) Bus Terminus.
B. Suspension of Taxi Stand
The taxi stand on Nam Ning Street outside Nam Ning Street Sitting-out Area will be suspended from 12.00 noon to 2.00 pm.
C. Suspension of Parking Space
The parking space designated for people with disabilities at Tsung Man Street will be suspended from 10.30 am to 12.00 noon.
Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. Adjustment of the above road closure, or other ad-hoc traffic and public transport measures, including further closure of roads, traffic diversion, alteration and suspension of public transport services, will be implemented by the Police depending on the crowd and traffic condition in the areas. Members of the public are advised to avoid driving to the affected areas, use public transport services as far as possible and watch out for the latest traffic news through the media. In case of traffic congestion, motorists should exercise tolerance and patience, and follow the instructions of the Police.
