ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
TEMPORARY RESTRICTED ZONES ON DES VOEUX ROAD WEST, WESTERN DISTRICT

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 17 April 2026 to 11.59 pm on 11 May 2026, the following road sections will be temporarily designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:-

(a) the northern kerbside lane of Des Voeux Road West eastbound from a point about 25 metres east of its junction with Centre Street to a point about 65 metres east of the same junction;

(b) the southern kerbside lane of Des Voeux Road West westbound from its junction with Kwai Heung Street to a point about 15 metres west of the same junction; and

(c) the southern kerbside lane of Des Voeux Road West westbound from its junction with Kwai Heung Street to a point about 20 metres east of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
(b) loading or unloading goods.

The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.
