ROAD TRAFFIC ORDINANCE (CHAPTER 374)
TEMPORARY SPEED LIMITS ON SAN TIN HIGHWAY AND FANLING HIGHWAY

In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 0.30 am to 5.30 am daily on 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 25, 26, 27 April and 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 May 2026, the following sections of San Tin Highway and Fanling Highway will be temporarily subject to the speed limits as described below:

  1. the section of San Tin Highway eastbound between about chainage marker 32.2A and about chainage marker 31.7A will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour;
  2. the section of San Tin Highway eastbound between about chainage marker 31.7A and about chainage marker 31.4A will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour;
  3. the section of Fanling Highway eastbound between about chainage marker 31.4A and about chainage marker 30.3A will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour;
  4. the section of Fanling Highway westbound between about chainage marker 29.3B and about chainage marker 30.2B will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour; and
  5. the section of Fanling Highway westbound between about chainage marker 30.2B and about chainage marker 31.2B will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour.

Appropriate traffic signs will be erected to guide motorists.

At the same time, the existing speed limit of 100 kilometres per hour on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
