ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
RESTRICTED ZONES IN KWU TUNG ROAD AND KWU TUNG NORTH ROAD
In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 7.00 a.m. on 6 June 2026, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:
- The roundabout at the junction of Kwu Tung Road and Kwu Tung North Road;
- The northern kerbside lane of Kwu Tung Road eastbound from its junction with Kwu Tung North Road northbound to a point about 30 metres west of the same junction;
- The northern kerbside lane of Kwu Tung Road eastbound from its junction with Kwu Tung North Road southbound to a point about 20 metres east of the same junction;
- The southern kerbside lane of Kwu Tung Road westbound from a point about 40 metres east of its junction with Kwu Tung North Road to a point about 75 metres west of the same junction;
- The slip road of Fanling Highway westbound from its junction with Kwu Tung North Road southbound to a point about 10 metres east of the same junction;
- The eastern kerbside lane of Kwu Tung North Road southbound from its junction with the slip road of Fanling Highway westbound to a point about 15 metres north of the same junction;
- The northern kerbside lane of Kwu Tung North Road northbound from its junction with Kwu Tung Road eastbound to a point about 30 metres north of the same junction;
- The roundabout at the junction of Castle Peak Road – Chau Tau and Kwu Tung North Road;
- The northern kerbside lane of Castle Peak Road – Chau Tau eastbound from its junction with Kwu Tung North Road northbound to a point about 70 metres west of the same junction;
- The northern kerbside lane of Castle Peak Road – Chau Tau eastbound from its junction with Kwu Tung North Road southbound to a point about 15 metres east of the same junction;
- The southern kerbside lane of Castle Peak Road – Chau Tau westbound from its junction with Kwu Tung North Road northbound to a point about 85 metres west of the same junction;
- The southern kerbside lane of Castle Peak Road – Chau Tau westbound from its junction with Kwu Tung North Road southbound to a point about 10 metres east of the same junction;
- The western kerbside lane of Kwu Tung North Road northbound from its junction with Castle Peak Road – Chau Tau westbound to a point about 10 metres south of the same junction;
- The western kerbside lane of Kwu Tung North Road northbound from its junction with Castle Peak Road – Chau Tau eastbound to a point about 35 metres north of the same junction;
- The eastern kerbside lane of Kwu Tung North Road southbound from its junction with Castle Peak Road – Chau Tau westbound to a point about 20 metres south of the same junction;
- The eastern kerbside lane of Kwu Tung North Road southbound from its junction with Castle Peak Road – Chau Tau eastbound to a point about 20 metres north of the same junction;
- Kwu Chun Street eastbound from a point about 295 metres east of its junction with Kwu Tung North Road southbound to a point on Kwu Chun Street westbound about 290 metres east of its junction with Kwu Tung North Road southbound.
- Heung Tsz Road eastbound from a point about 30 metres west of its junction with Pak Sau Road to a point on Heung Tsz Road westbound with its junction with Pak Sau Road southbound; and
- The eastern kerbside lane of Pak Sau Road southbound from its junction with Heung Tsz Road westbound to a point about 15 metres south of the same junction.
Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:
- picking up or setting down passengers; or
- loading or unloading goods.
The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
At the same time, the existing restricted zones as gazette in G.N.2519 of 2026 will be rescinded.
