Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements on Sha Tin Road, Sha Tin

        Notice is hereby given that in order to facilitate road works, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented from 12.01 am to 5.30 am on 19 September 2026:

        A. Road Closure
             
             The main road leading from Lion Rock Tunnel Road northbound to Sha Tin Road northbound will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic.

        B. Traffic Diversions

    1. Affected vehicles on Lion Rock Tunnel Road northbound heading for Tai Po and Fanling will be diverted via Tai Chung Kiu Road northbound, Sha Tin Rural Committee Road westbound and Tai Po Road – Sha Tin northbound;
    2. Affected vehicles on Lion Rock Tunnel Road northbound heading for Ma On Shan and Kowloon East will be diverted via Tai Chung Kiu Road northbound, Sha Tin Wai Road eastbound and Sha Lek Highway northbound; and
    3. Affected vehicles on Lion Rock Tunnel Road northbound heading for Prince of Wales Hospital, Yuen Chau Kok and Siu Lek Yuen will be diverted via Tai Chung Kiu Road northbound and Sha Tin Wai Road eastbound.
        C. Public Transport Arrangements


             During the implementation of the above temporary traffic arrangements, the following temporary public transport arrangements will be implemented:

New Territories GMB Route No. 805S Ma On Shan bound Diverted via Tai Chung Kiu Road northbound, Sha Tin Wai Road eastbound and Sha Lek Highway northbound


        Notices will be displayed by public transport operators to advise passengers of the above temporary arrangements.  Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.
