Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations

Restricted Zone on Yeung Uk Road, Tsuen Wan

 

          In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 4.00 pm on 26 April 2009, the northern kerbside lane of Yeung Uk Road from a point about 55 metres east of its junction with Wo Tik Street to a point about 80 metres east of the same junction will be designated a restricted zone 24 hours daily.

 

          Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses at designated bus stops and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a)	picking up or setting down passengers; or
(b)	loading or unloading goods.

 

 

 

          The extent of the restricted zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

 

          At the same time, the existing restricted zone from 8.00 am to 10.00 am and from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm daily on the above road section will be rescinded.
