Restricted Zone in Chung On Street, Tsuen Wan

 

          In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 10 October 2009, the eastern kerbside lane of Chung On Street from a point about 20 metres south of its junction with Sha Tsui Road to a point about 45 metres south of the same junction will be designated a restricted zone 24 hours daily.

 

          Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except public light buses (scheduled services) and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a)	picking up or setting down passengers; or
(b)	loading or unloading goods.

 

 

 

          The extent of the restricted zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

 

          At the same time, the existing restricted zone from 8.00 am to 10.00 am and from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm daily on the above road section will be rescinded.
