Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations

(Chapter 374) 

Restricted Zones in Tsuen Wan Market Street, Tsuen Wan

          In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 19 February 2010, the following road sections in Tsuen Wan will be designated restricted zones 24 hours daily:

(a) the northern kerbside lane of Tsuen Wan Market Street from a point about 5 metres east of its junction with Yan Chai Street to a point about 50 metres east of the same junction; and

(b) the southern kerbside lane of Tsuen Wan Market Street from a point about 5 metres east of its junction with Yan Chai Street to a point about 60 metres east of the same junction.

 

          Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses at designated bus stops and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b) loading or unloading goods.

 

          The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
