Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations

(Chapter 374)

Restricted Zones on Tak Hoi Street and Tak Wah Street, Tsuen Wan

          In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 19 March 2010, the following road sections in Tsuen Wan will be designated restricted zones from 7.00 am to 7.00 pm daily:

(a)

the northern kerbside lane of Tak Hoi Street from its junction with Ham Tin Street to a point about 45 metres west of the same junction; and

(b)

the northern kerbside lane of Tak Wah Street from its junction with Ham Tin Street to a point about 100 metres east of the same junction (excluding the public light bus stand).

 

 

 

          Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses at designated bus stops and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a)

picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)

loading or unloading goods.

 

 

          The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
