Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations (Chapter 374)

Restricted Zone in Pak Tin Par Street, Tsuen Wan

          In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 9 November 2012, the northern kerbside lane of Pak Tin Par Street (including the lay-by) from a point about 15 metres west of its junction with Tai Chung Road to a point about 40 metres west of the same junction will be designated a restricted zone from 7.00 am to 7.00 pm daily.

          Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses at designated bus stops and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

• (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
• (b) loading or unloading goods.

          The extent of the restricted zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

          At the same time, the existing restricted zone on the above section of road as gazetted in G.N. 887 of 2002 will be rescinded.
