Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations(Chapter 374)

Restricted Zones on Tai Ho Road, Tsuen Wan

          In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 12.01 am on 27 January 2013:

• (a) the lay-by in the eastern kerbside lane on Tai Ho Road from a point about 5 metres south of its junction with the entrance of Nina Tower Bus Terminus to a point about 25 metres south of the same junction will be designated a restricted zone 24 hours daily (except buses); and
• (b) the eastern kerbside lane on Tai Ho Road from a point about 25 metres south of its junction with the entrance of Nina Tower Bus Terminus to a point about 55 metres south of the same junction will be designated a restricted zone 24 hours daily (except the public light buses (scheduled service) stand).

          Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

• (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
• (b) loading or unloading goods.

          The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

          At the same time, the existing 24 hours daily restricted zone (except buses) at the layby in the eastern kerbside lane of Tai Ho Road from a point about 10 metres south of its junction with the entrance of Nina Tower Bus Terminus to a point about 50 metres south of the same junction as gazetted in G.N. 5077 dated 27 July 2012 will be rescinded.
