Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Wong Tai Sin
Motorists are advised that to facilitate the road works, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Wong Tai Sin from 1.30 am to 5.30 am on 5 January 2014: -
I. Temporary traffic arrangements
(A) Road Closure
- (a) The flyover between Choi Hung Road southbound and Prince Edward Road East westbound will be temporarily closed; and
- (b) The traffic lanes on Prince Edward Road East westbound heading for To Kwa Wan and Argyle Street will be temporarily closed.
(B) Traffic Diversion
- (a) Affected vehicles with less than 10 metres in length on Choi Hung Road southbound will be diverted via Tseuk Luk Street eastbound, King Fuk Street westbound, King Tai Street southbound, Prince Edward Road East eastbound, Prince Edward East flyover, Concorde Road westbound and Prince Edward Road East westbound. Alternatively, the affected vehicles will be diverted via Ning Yuen Street northbound , Shung Ling Street westbound, Tseuk Luk Street eastbound, King Fuk Street westbound, King Tai Street southbound, Prince Edward Road East eastbound, Prince Edward Road East flyover, Concorde Road westbound and Prince Edward Road East westbound;
- (b) Affected vehicles exceeding 10 metres in length on Choi Hung Road southbound will be diverted via Tseuk Luk Street eastbound, King Fuk Street westbound, King Tai Street southbound, Prince Edward Road East eastbound, Kwun Tong Road eastbound, unnamed road at Ping Shek Estate, Clear Water Bay Road westbound, Kwun Tong Road westbound and Prince Edward Road East westbound. Alternatively, the affected vehicles will be diverted via Ning Yuen Street northbound, Shung Ling Street westbound, Tseuk Luk Street eastbound, King Fuk Street westbound, King Tai Street southbound, Prince Edward Road East eastbound, Kwun Tong Road eastbound, unnamed road at Ping Shek Estate, Clear Water Bay Road westbound, Kwun Tong Road westbound and Prince Edward Road East westbound;
- (c) Affected vehicles on Prince Edward Road East westbound heading to To Kwa Wan will be diverted via Prince Edward Road East westbound, Prince Edward Road West westbound, Lomond Road southbound, Argyle Street eastbound and Olympic Garden roundabout; and
- (d) Affected vehicles on Prince Edward Road East westbound heading to Argyle Street will be diverted via Prince Edward Road East westbound, Prince Edward Road West westbound and Lomond Road southbound.
II. Temporary traffic arrangements
(A) Bus Diversion
- (a) KMB bus routes nos. N121 and N216 will be diverted via Kwun Tong Road westbound and Prince Edward Road East westbound; and
- (b) Citybus route no. N23 will be diverted via Choi Hung Road southbound, Shatin Pass Road northbound, Tung Tau Tsuen Road southbound, Junction Road southbound, Prince Edward Road West eastbound and Olympic Garden roundabout.
(B) Relocation of Bus stop
- (a) The existing bus stops for KMB bus routes nos. N121 and N216 along Lung Cheung Road, Hammer Hill Road and Choi Hung Road will be temporarily suspended. Two temporary bus stops will be provided on Prince Edward Road East westbound opposite to Rhythm Garden and Prince Edward Road East westbound opposite to Latitude respectively;
- (b) The existing bus stops for CityBus route no. N23 on Choi Hung Road near Yin Hing Street and Choi Hung Road near Ning Yuen Street will be temporarily suspended. Two temporary bus stops will be provided on Tung Tau Tsuen Road southbound near Wai Tung House of Tung Tau Estate and Tung Tau Tsuen Road near Ying Tung House of Tung Tau Estate respectively;
- (c) The existing bus stop for KMB routes no. N216 and N293 on Prince Edward Road East westbound opposite to Regal Oriental Hotel will be temporarily suspended. The existing bus stop for KMB routes no. N216 and N293 on Prince Edward Road West westbound near Olympic Garden will be temporarily relocated for about 100 metres westward to 361-367 Prince Edward Road West westbound; and
- (d) The existing bus stop for CityBus route no. N23 and KMB route no. N121 on Prince Edward Road East westbound opposite to Regal Oriental Hotel will be temporarily relocated for about 200 metres westward to Ma Tau Chung Road westbound near Sung Wong Toi Playground.
Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. Bus companies will post notices to advise passengers of the above temporary arrangements.
