Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations(Chapter 374) 

Restricted Zones on Unnamed Slip Road at Sham Tseng Interchange, Tsuen Wan


      In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 6.00 am on 12 February 2014, the following road sections in Tsuen Wan will be designated restricted zones 24 hours daily:

      (a) the western kerbside lane of the slip road leading from Castle Peak Road - Sham Tseng to Tuen Mun Road westbound from a point about 55 metres north of its junction with Castle Peak Road - Sham Tseng to a point about 240 metres north of the same junction;

      (b) the eastern kerbside lane of the slip road leading from Tuen Mun Road eastbound to Castle Peak Road - Sham Tseng from a point about 55 metres north of its junction with Castle Peak Road - Sham Tseng to a point about 190 metres north of the same junction; and

      (c) the northern kerbside lane of the slip road leading from Tuen Mun Road westbound to Tuen Mun Road eastbound from its junction with the slip road leading from Castle Peak Road - Sham Tseng to Tuen Mun Road eastbound to a point about 90 metres west of the same junction.

      Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

      (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or

      (b) loading or unloading goods.

      The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
