Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations(Chapter 374) 

Restricted Zones on Tai Ho Road, Tsuen Wan


      In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 17 February 2014, the following road sections of Tai Ho Road will be designated restricted zones 24 hours daily.

      (a) the northern kerbside lane of Tai Ho Road eastbound from a point about 110 metres west of its junction with Tai Ho Road to a point about 150 metres west of the same junction;

      (b) the western kerbside lane of the temporary slip road between Tai Ho Road and Tai Ho Road eastbound; and

      (c) the western kerbside lane of Tai Ho Road from its junction with Tsuen Wan West Station Public Transport Interchange ingress to a point of about 230 metres north of the same junction.

      Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

      (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or

      (b) loading or unloading goods.

      The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
