ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS
(CHAPTER 374)

Extension of Temporary Restricted Zones in Tsuen Wan

      In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 17 December 2014 to 16 June 2015, the following road sections in Tsuen Wan will continue to be temporarily designated restricted zones 24 hours daily to facilitate the construction of Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link:

(a) the northern kerbside lane of Cheung Shan Estate Road West from its junction with Cheung Shan Estate Road East to a point about 35 metres east of the same junction;
(b) the southern kerbside lane of Cheung Shan Estate Road West from its junction with Cheung Shan Estate Road East to a point about 55 metres east of the same junction; and
(c) the eastern kerbside lane of Cheung Shan Estate Road East from its junction with Cheung Shan Estate Road West to a point about 10 metres south of the same junction.

      Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
(b) loading or unloading goods.

      The extent of the restricted zones have been indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
