Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations(Chapter 374)

Restricted Zone on Luen Yan Street, Tsuen Wan

      In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 27 March 2015 the western kerbside lane of Luen Yan Street northbound from a point about 140 metres north of its junction with Yeung Uk Road to its junction with Sha Tsui Road westbound will be designated a restricted zone 7.00 am to 7.00 pm daily (except general holidays).

      Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

      (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or

      (b) loading or unloading goods.

      The extent of the restricted zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

      At the same time, the existing 8.00 am to 10.00 am and 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm daily (except general holidays) restricted zone on the above road section will be rescinded.
