Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations (Chapter 374)

 Temporary Restricted Zones in Tsuen Wing Street and Sha Tsui Road, Tsuen Wan

     In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct with effect from 10.00am on 26 May 2015 to 6.00pm on 7 October 2015, the following road sections of Tsuen Wing Street and Sha Tsui Road will be temporarily designated restricted zones 24 hours daily:-

(i) the northern kerbside lane of Tsuen Wing Street from a point about 45 metres west of its junction with Texaco Road to a point about 70 metres west of the same junction;

(ii) the southern kerbside lane of Tsuen Wing Street from a point about 35 metres west of its junction with Texaco Road to a point about 70 metres west of the same junction;

(iii) the northern kerbside lane of Sha Tsui Road eastbound from a point about 25 metres west of its junction with Tsuen Wing Street northbound to a point about 30 metres north of the same junction;

(iv) the northern kerbside lane of Sha Tsui Road eastbound from a point about 30 metres east of its junction with Tsuen Wing Street southbound to a point about 40 metres north of the same junction; and

(v) the southern kerbside lane of Sha Tsui Road westbound from a point about 125 metres west of its junction with Texaco Road to a point about 190 metres west of the same junction.

     Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses at designated bus stops and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
(b) loading or unloading goods.

     The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
