TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT NOTICE

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS IN TSIM SHA TSUI

      Notice is hereby given that for the construction of Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link, the following road sections will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic from 1.30 a.m. to 5.00 a.m. on 22 May 2015 (except vehicles with closed road permits issued by the Transport Department):

(a) The section of Austin Road West between Canton Road and Lin Cheung Road;
(b) The section of Wui Cheung Road westbound between Canton Road and Wui Man Road; and
(c) The section of Wui Man Road between Wui Cheung Road and Austin Road West.

      During the above temporary road closures, the following traffic diversions will be implemented:

(a) Vehicles from Austin Road (westbound) heading for the area near MTR Kowloon Station will be temporarily diverted to travel via Canton Road (northbound), Jordon Road (westbound) and Nga Cheung Road (southbound).
(b) Vehicles on Nga Cheung Road (southbound) heading for Canton Road will be diverted to travel via Nga Cheung Road (southbound), roundabout, Nga Cheung Road (northbound), Jordan Road (eastbound), Road D1A(S) (southbound), Wui Cheung Road (eastbound) and Canton Road.
(c) Vehicles from Austin Road West (eastbound) heading for Canton Road will be temporarily diverted to travel via Austin Road West (eastbound), U-turn, Austin Road West (westbound), Nga Cheung Road (northbound), Jordon Road (eastbound), Road D1A(S) (southbound), Wui Cheung Road (eastbound) and Canton Road.
(d) Vehicles from Canton Road (southbound) heading for the area near MTR Kowloon Station will be temporarily diverted to travel via Canton Road (southbound), slip road between Canton Road and Kowloon Park Drive, Canton Road (northbound), Jordon Road (westbound) and Nga Cheung Road (southbound).

      Actual implementation of the traffic arrangement and traffic control will be made by the police depending on the traffic condition in the area.  Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. Motorists should exercise tolerance and patience in case of traffic congestion, and observe the instructions given by the police.
