TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT NOTICE

Temporary Closure of Wui Man Road (southbound) in Tsim Sha Tsui

     Notice is hereby given that for the construction of Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link, the section of Wui Man Road (southbound) between Wui Cheung Road and Austin Road West will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic from 10:00 a.m. on 29 January 2016 for about 1 year.

     During the above period of road closure, the following temporary traffic diversions and public transport arrangements will be implemented:

     (I) Temporary Traffic Diversions

       (a) Vehicles on Jordan Road (westbound) or Ferry Street (southbound) heading for Austin Station or Kowloon Station areas will be temporarily diverted to travel via Jordan Road (westbound), Nga Cheung Road (southbound), roundabout, Austin Road West (eastbound) and Wui Man Road (northbound).
       (b) Vehicles on Austin Road (westbound) or Canton Road (northbound) heading for Austin Station will be temporarily diverted to travel via Austin Road West (westbound), roundabout, Austin Road West (eastbound) and Wui Man Road (northbound).

     (II) Temporary Bus Diversions and Bus Stop Arrangements

       (a) KMB route nos. 8, 11 and 203E from Jordan Road (westbound) heading for Kowloon Station will be temporarily diverted to travel via Jordan Road (westbound), roundabout, Nga Cheung Road (southbound), roundabout and Nga Cheung Road (northbound) before resuming its normal routeing.

       At the same time, the bus stop for the above routes on Austin Road West (westbound) opposite to ICC will be temporarily relocated to Nga Cheung Road (southbound), the same bus stop for KMB route nos. 280X and T270.

       (b) KMB route nos. 215P, 215X, 261B and 281A from Canton Road (northbound) heading for Kowloon Station will be temporarily diverted to travel via Canton Road (northbound) and Austin Road West (westbound) before resuming its normal routeing.

       At the same time, the bus stop for the above routes on Canton Road (northbound) outside Austin Station will be temporarily suspended. Passengers are advised to use the bus stop outside China Hong Kong City.

     Actual implementation of the traffic arrangement and traffic control will be made by the police depending on the traffic condition in the area. Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. Motorists should exercise tolerance and patience in case of traffic congestion, and observe the instructions given by the police.
