ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS
(CHAPTER 374)

Temporary Restricted Zones in Tsuen Wan

     In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 20 June 2016 to 15 August 2016, the following road sections in Tsuen Wan will be temporarily designated restricted zones 24 hours daily to facilitate the construction of Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link:

     (a) the eastern kerbside lane of Cheung Shan Estate Road East from its junction with Cheung Shan Estate Road West to a point about 10 metres north of the same junction;
     (b) the eastern kerbside lane of Cheung Shan Estate Road East from a point about 40 metres north of its junction with Cheung Shan Estate Road West to a point about 70 metres north of the same junction;
     (c) the western kerbside lane of Cheung Shan Estate Road East from its junction with Cheung Shan Estate Road West to a point about 20 metres north of the same junction;
     (d) the western kerbside lane of Cheung Shan Estate Road East from a point about 40 metres north of its junction with Cheung Shan Estate Road West to a point about 50 metres north of the same junction;
     (e) the northern kerbside lane of Cheung Shan Estate Road West from its junction with Cheung Shan Estate Road East to a point about 105 metres west of the same junction; and
     (f) the southern kerbside lane of Cheung Shan Estate Road West from its junction with Cheung Shan Estate Road East to a point about 135 metres west of the same junction.

     Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

     (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
     (b) loading or unloading goods.

     The extent of the restricted zones have been indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
