Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations(Chapter 374)

Restricted Zones in Wang Lung Street, Lung Tak Street and Texaco Road, Tsuen Wan

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 2.00 pm on 8 July 2017, the following road sections in Tsuen Wan will be  designated restricted zones 24 hours daily:

        (a) The southern kerbside lane of Wang Lung Street from its junction with Lung Tak Street to a point about 10 metres west of the same junction;

        (b) The southern kerbside lane of Wang Lung Street from its junction with Lung Tak Street to a point about 15 metres east of the same junction;

        (c) The western kerbside lane of Lung Tak Street from its junction with Wang Lung Street to its junction with Ma Kok Lane;

        (d) The western kerbside lane of Lung Tak Street from its junction with Ma Kok Lane to its junction with Texaco Road;

        (e) The eastern kerbside lane of Lung Tak Street from its junction with Wang Lung Street to a point about 115 metres south of the same junction; and

        (f) The northern kerbside lane of Texaco Road from its junction with Lung Tak Street to a point about 40 metres west of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses at designated bus stops and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

        (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or

        (b) loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
