Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations(Chapter 374)

Restricted Zones in Wing Shun Street, Ma Tau Pa Road
and Texaco Road, Tsuen Wan

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 29 December 2017, the following road sections in Tsuen Wan will be designated restricted zones 24 hours daily:

(a) the western kerbside lane of Wing Shun Street from its junction with Ma Tau Pa Road to a point about 380 metres south of the same junction;

(b) the eastern kerbside lane of Texaco Road from its junction with Ma Tau Pa Road to a point about 50 metres south of the same junction;

(c) the southern kerbside lane of Ma Tau Pa Road from its junction with Texaco Road to a point about 30 metres east of the same junction; and

(d) the northern kerbside lane of Ma Tau Pa Road from its junction with Texaco Road to a point about 50 metres east of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses at designated bus stops and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b) loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
