Octopus Card Operated Parking Meter

The table attached shows the distribution of metered parking spaces at different districts in Hong Kong.

All metered parking spaces in Hong Kong are now operated by Octopus cards.

Octopus card parking meter adopts the touch-screen technology and is easy to use by following the simple instruction.

E-Park card holders may make refund applications at the refund outlets.

Operating Instructions
1.	Select parking bay by pressing either the left arrow button or right arrow button;
2.	Select parking time by pressing the button with a plus sign "+";
3.	Confirm the selection of parking bay and time by pressing the button with a tick ""; and
4.	Present Octopus card to the reader where an Octopus logo is displayed.

Handy Tips For Using Octopus On Parking Meters

Hold your Octopus steadily over the Octopus reader of the parking meter and wait until the wordings "Transaction Completed" and the remaining value in your Octopus are displayed on the screen before removing your Octopus.
Do not present more than one Octopus or with another smartcard(s) or electronic device(s) over the reader at the same time.
Do not bend, write on, scratch, tap, cut or paste stickers or photos on your Octopus as this may affect transaction.
Do not place your Octopus near coins, studs or zippers.
Call the customer services hotline at 2318 0616 for any enquiries in using the parking meters.
