Green minibuses (GMBs) operate on fixed routes at fixed fares. In April 2013, there were 71 GMB routes on Hong Kong Island, 78 in Kowloon and 197 in the New Territories, employing a total of 3,087 vehicles. In year 2012, GMBs carried about 1,526,000 passengers daily.
