Kowloon Canton Railway (KCR)
The KCR is a railway comprising of East Rail, Ma On Shan Rail, West Rail and Light Rail. See Figure 2 for the route map.

Kowloon-Canton Railway (West Rail)
West Rail is a 30.5 km twin-track passenger railway with nine stations linking Sham Shui Po in West Kowloon with Tuen Mun in the North West New Territories (see figure 2). Various special facilities are provided to ensure that people with disabilities may enjoy a barrier-free service.

Passengers with walking difficulty
Ramps are provided at station entrances where necessary. Two wheelchair spaces are provided on each train and drop level counters are provided at all station tickets offices for convenience. Also, toilets specially designed for the people with disabilities are provided at all stations.

Passengers with visual impairment
Each station is provided with ticket vending machines specially designed for passengers with visual impairments. Other than Braille characters, the ticket vending machine is equipped with interactive voice instructions and keypad input. Tactile routes are provided at all stations to help visually-impaired passengers proceed from the station entrance to the ticket offices or add-value machines, as well as to the ticket gates and boarding locations on platforms and vice versa.

Passengers with hearing impairment
Passenger information display boards are installed at station entrances, in strategic locations inside the concourse, and all platforms and train compartments for dissemination of regular and special service information. Induction loops and related signages are installed in all customer services centres, platform supervisor rooms, ticket offices and fare adjustment offices.
