Sixth round

Fuel Subsidy

  • Reimburse 40% of the actual fuel/electricity cost between 1 February 2022 and 30 June 2022 for the five franchised bus companies, 11 local franchised and licensed ferry operators and Hong Kong Tramways Limited.

  • The Government extended the above fuel subsidy from the five months by another three months till 30 September 2022. The Transport Department would issue letters to inform the operators of the detailed arrangements for the subsidy. Operators have been submitting applications to the Transport Department progressively. Subsidy will be disbursed within one month upon receipt of applications and completion of the checking.

One-off subsidy

  • Provide a one-off non-accountable subsidy of $30,000 for each vehicle/vessel of the five franchised bus companies, 11 local franchised and licensed ferry operators and Hong Kong Tramways Limited.

  • The Transport Department has issued letters to inform the operators of the detailed arrangements for the subsidy in February 2022.

Regular Repair and Maintenance subsidy

  • for any of the five franchised bus companies, local franchised and licensed ferry operators* and Hong Kong Tramways Limited who record a loss in 2022, the actual regular repair and maintenance costs from July to December 2022 will be reimbursed to eligible operators.

  • The Transport Department would issue letters to inform the operators of the detailed arrangements for the subsidy.

* The Regular Repair and Maintenance Subsidy under the sixth round of Anti-epidemic Fund is not applicable to the outlying island ferry services which are entitled to the Special Helping Measures.
