Scope of Part A Test (Written Test)

From 25 September 2023, the latest updates in road traffic related legislation, driving rules and information have been included in the scope of Part A Test (Written Test). The updates in the form of supplementary sheets to the Road Users' Code are uploaded to the website of the Transport Department.

The newly uploaded supplementary sheet (i.e. version of December 2024) will apply to candidates who are scheduled to take the Part A Test (Written Test) on and after 3 February 2025.

Candidates of Part A Test (Written Test) may refer to the below table for the latest version of relevant publications.

The above arrangement regarding the Supplementary Sheets on Written Test Scope also applies to candidates of Taxi Written Test.

The newly uploaded supplementary sheet (i.e. version of December 2024) will apply to candidates who are scheduled to take the Taxi Written Test on and after 3 February 2025.

The content of the Taxi Operation Booklet ("Booklet") will also be updated on a timely basis. Candidates of Taxi Written Test may refer to the below table for the latest version of relevant publications.

Candidates taking the Part A Test (Written Test) or the Taxi Written Test should visit the website of the Transport Department regularly for the latest updates, and be conversant with the revised test materials before taking the test.
