ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS

(CHAPTER 374)

Prohibited Zones In Ma Wan, Tsuen Wan

 

          In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 8.00 pm on 26 August 2009, all roads in Ma Wan will be designated prohibited zones 24 hours daily.

 

          Drivers of all motor vehicles, except goods vehicles from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm daily, urban taxis from 8.00 pm to 7.00 am of the next day daily and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from driving vehicles into the prohibited zones 24 hours daily.

 

          The extent of the prohibited zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs.

 

          At the same time, the existing prohibited zone in Ma Wan, Tsuen Wan as gazetted in G.N. 4505 of 2008 will be rescinded.
