Speed Limit at Western Harbour Crossing
In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(b) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby declare that with effect from 10.00 am on 19 March 2010, the following roads are liable to be subject at different times to the speed limits of 80 kilometres per hour or 50 kilometres per hour:
1. Western Harbour Crossing southbound tunnel tube;
2. Western Harbour Crossing northbound tunnel tube; and
3. The southbound carriageway of Western Harbour Crossing exit road from its junction with the exit of Western Harbour Crossing southbound tunnel tube to a point about 150 metres west of the same junction.
Any change in the speed limit in accordance with this notice may be put into effect from time to time by traffic signs to be erected, replaced, removed or altered so as to ensure that adequate guidance is given to drivers of motor vehicles as to the speed limits currently to be observed on the roads.
At the same time, all speed limits as gazetted under G.N. 6421 dated 9 December 2005 will be rescinded.
