ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in Wan Chai

               In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 11 October 2010, the following road sections in Wan Chai will be designated restricted zones from 7.00 am to 12.00 midnight daily:

               (a)        the western kerbside lane of  Bowrington Road from its junction with Cheung Woo Lane to a point about 15 metres north of the same junction;

               (b)       the eastern kerbside lane of Bowrington Road from its junction with Cheung Woo Lane to a point about 35 metres north of the same junction;

               (c)        the northern kerbside lane of Cheung Woo Lane from a point about 10 metres east of its junction with Borwington Road to the same junction; and

               (d)       the southern kerbside lane of Cheung Woo Lane between Canal Road West and Borwington Road.

               Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

               (a)   picking up or setting down passengers; or

               (b)   loading or unloading goods.

               The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
