ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Goods Vehicles Restricted Zone on Chater Road, Central

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10:00 am on 11 November 2011, the southern kerbside lane of Chater Road from a point about 15 metres east of its junction with Ice House Street to a point about 55 metres east of the same junction will be designated a goods vehicles restricted zone from 7.00 am to 12.00 midnight daily.

        At the same time, the existing 7.00 am to 10.00 am and 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm goods vehicles restricted zone on the above road section will be rescinded.

        Within the restricted zone, drivers of all goods vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-

•     (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
•     (b) loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
