Traffic Advice

Temporary Traffic and Public Transport Arrangements on Tsun Wen Road, Tuen Mun 

        Members of the public are advised that to facilitate the re-railing works of Light Rail, the following temporary traffic and public transport arrangements will be implemented in Tuen Mun from 1.30 am to 5.00 am daily on 5 and 6 January 2012:

(I) Traffic Arrangements

        (a) Vehicles on Tsun Wen Road northbound will be banned from moving forward into the section of Tsun Wen Road northbound north of Tai Fong Street;

        (b) Vehicles on Tsun Wen Road northbound will be banned from turning right into Tsing Chung Koon Road;

        (c) Vehicles on Tsun Wen Road southbound will be banned from moving forward into the section of Tsun Wen Road southbound south of Tsing Chung Koon Road;

        (d) Vehicles on Tsun Wen Road southbound will be banned from turning right into Tai Fong Street;

        (e) Vehicles on Tsing Chung Koon Road westbound will be banned from moving forward into Tai Fong Street;

        (f) Vehicles on Tsing Chung Koon Road westbound will be banned from turning left into Tsun Wen Road southbound;

        (g) Affected motorists on Tsun Wen Road northbound are advised to travel via Shek Pai Tau Road westbound, Ming Kum Road northbound and Tsing Tin Road eastbound;

        (h) Affected motorists on Tsun Wen Road northbound heading for Tsing Chung Koon Road are advised to travel via Shek Pai Tau Road westbound, Ming Kum Road northbound, Tsing Tin Road eastbound and Tsun Wen Road southbound;

        (i) Affected motorists on Tsun Wen Road southbound are advised to travel via Tsing Tin Road westbound, Ming Kum Road southbound and Shek Pai Tau Road eastbound;

        (j) Affected motorists on Tsun Wen Road southbound heading for Tai Fong Street are advised to travel via Tsing Tin Road westbound, Ming Kum Road southbound, Shek Pai Tau Road eastbound and Tsun Wen Road northbound; and

        (k) Affected motorists on Tsing Chung Koon Road westbound heading for Tai Fong Street/ Tsun Wen Road southbound are advised to travel via Tsun Wen Road northbound, Tsing Tin Road westbound, Ming Kum Road southbound, Shek Pai Tau Road eastbound and Tsun Wen Road.

(II) Public Transport Arrangements

        (a) The following GMB routes will be temporarily diverted:

GMB Route No. 47S	To Mong Kok	via Tsun Wen Road northbound, Tsing Lun Road eastbound and Tsing Chung Koon Road westbound.
	To Tuen Mun	via Shek Pai Tau Road westbound and Ming Kum Road northbound.
GMB Route No. 48S	To Mong Kok	via Tsun Wen Road northbound, Tsing Lun Road eastbound and Tsing Chung Koon Road westbound.
	To Tuen Mun	via  Tai Fong Street, Tai Hing Street, Shek Pai Tau Road westbound and Ming Kum Road northbound.
GMB Route No. 49S	To Wan Chai	via Tsing Tin Road westbound, Ming Kum Road southbound and Shek Pai Tau Road eastbound.
	To Tuen Mun	via Shek Pai Tau Road westbound, Ming Kum Road northbound and Tsing Tin Road eastbound.
GMB Route No. 610S	To Tsim Sha Tsui	via  Tsun Wen Road northbound, Tsing Tin Road westbound, Ming Kum Road southbound and Shek Pai Tau Road eastbound.
	To Tin Shui Wai	via Shek Pai Tau Road westbound, Ming Kum Road northbound and Tsing Tin Road eastbound.

        (b)  No stop of the above GMB routes will be affected.

        Motorists are advised to drive with utmost care and patience. Appropriate traffic signs will be erected to guide motorists. At the same time, the GMB operators will put up notices at the stops and inside vehicle compartments to advice passengers of the above temporary public transport arrangement.
