Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Joss House Bay

for the Tin Hau Festival in 2012

                     

      Notice is hereby given that the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Joss House Bay for the Tin Hau Festival 2012:

 

      (I)  Special Traffic Arrangements    

 

            The following temporary traffic arrangements will be implemented from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm daily on 31 March, 1, 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9 April 2012, and from 7.00 am on 12 April 2012 to 5.00 pm on 13 April 2012:

 

     (i)    The section of Tai Au Mun Road between Clear Water Bay Second Beach Carpark and Po Toi O Chuen Road will be temporarily designated as prohibited zone, except for access to Po Toi O Chuen, Tin Hau Temple and the Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club etc.; and

 

     (ii)    49 parking spaces at the central part of Clear Water Bay Second Beach Carpark, 10 Parking spaces outside Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club near the main gate and 4 parking spaces at Tai Au Mun Road near Po Toi O Chuen Road will be suspended.

 

     Appropriate traffic aids will be provided and police officers will be on site to guide motorists.

 

     (II)  Special Public Transport Arrangements

  

     A.  Ferry Service

 

     A special licensed ferry service between North Point and Joss House Bay will be operated by New World First Ferry Services Limited from 10.00 am on 12 April 2012 to 4.15 pm on 13 April 2012.  The fares of the round trip tickets for ordinary ferry and fast ferry are $60 and $70 respectively.  Concessionary fares for child, elderly and passenger with disabilities are available.  Single trip tickets are only available for sale at Joss House Bay.

 

     B.  Public Light Bus (Scheduled) Service

 

     Special short-working trips of N.T. GMB Route No. 16 will be operated at a headway of 15 minutes between Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club and Clear Water Bay Second Beach Carpark on the date and time specified below:
