Temporary Traffic and Public Transport Arrangements in Tuen Mun
Members of the public are advised that to facilitate the demolition of existing Yan Ching Bridge on Tuen Mun Road Town Centre Section, the following temporary traffic and public transport arrangements will be implemented in Tuen Mun during the following periods on 14 and 15 April 2012:
(I) Tuen Mun Road Northbound: From 11.00 pm on 14 April 2012 to 01.45 am on 15 April 2012
A) Traffic Arrangements
(a) The fast lane of Tuen Mun Road northbound from a point about 154 meters north of its southern junction with Tuen Hi Road to a point about 826 meters north of the same junction will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic; and
(b) Motorists are advised to use the remaining traffic lanes of the above road section.
(II) Tuen Mun Road Southbound: From 11.00 pm on 14 April 2012 to 12.30 am on 15 April 2012
A) Traffic Arrangements
(a) The fast lane of Tuen Mun Road southbound from a point about 137 meters north of its southern junction with Tuen Fat Road to a point about 930 meters north of the same junction will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic; and
(b) Motorists are advised to use the remaining traffic lanes of the above road section.
(III) Tuen Mun Road Northbound: From 01.45 am to 6.00 am on 15 April 2012
A) Road Closure
The section of Tuen Mun Road northbound from its southern junction with Tuen Hi Road to its junction with the unnamed slip road leading from Pui To Road to Tuen Mun Road northbound will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic.
B) Traffic Arrangements
(a) The following road sections will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic:
(i) The fast lane of Tuen Mun Road northbound from a point about 357 meters south of its southern junction with Tuen Hi Road to a point about 1382 meters south of the same junction; and
(ii) The middle and fast lane of Tuen Mun Road northbound from its southern junction with Tuen Hi Road to a point about 357 meters south of the same junction.
(b) Motorists are advised to use the remaining traffic lanes of the above road sections.
C) Traffic diversion
(a) Affected motorists on Tuen Mun Road northbound heading for Yuen Long are advised to travel via Tuen Hing Road westbound, Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road northbound and Pui To Road eastbound.
(b) Affected motorists on Tuen Hi Road heading for Tuen Mun Road northbound are advised to travel via Tuen Lung Street westbound, Tuen Shun Street, Tuen Hop Street, Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road northbound, Pui To Road eastbound.
D) Public Transport Arrangements
(a) Bus and green minibus (GMB) diversion
The following bus and GMB routes will be temporarily diverted:

(IV) Tuen Mun Road Southbound: From 12.30 am to 5.30 am on 15 April 2012
A) Road closure
The section of Tuen Mun Road southbound from its junction with unnamed slip road leading from Tuen Mun Road southbound to Pui To Road to its southern junction with Tuen Fat Road will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic.
B) Traffic Arrangements
(a) The following road sections will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic:
(i) The fast lane of Tuen Mun Road southbound from a point about 277 meters north of its junction with the unnamed slip road leading from Tuen Mun Road southbound to Pui To Road to a point about 477 meters north of the same junction; and
(ii) The middle and fast lane of Tuen Mun Road southbound from its junction with the unnamed slip road leading from Tuen Mun Road southbound to Pui To Road to a point about 277 meters north of the same junction.
(b) Motorists are advised to use the remaining traffic lanes of the above road sections.
C) Traffic diversion
Affected motorists on Tuen Mun Road southbound heading for Kowloon are advised to travel via Pui To Road eastbound, Castle Peak Road southbound and Tuen Hing Road westbound.
D) Public Transport Arrangements
GMB Route No. 606S heading for Tsim Sha Tsui East will be temporary diverted via Pui To Road eastbound, Castle Peak Road southbound, Tuen Shing Street westbound and Tuen Fat Road and no stop will be affected.
Motorists are advised to drive with utmost care and patience. Appropriate traffic signs will be erected to guide motorists. At the same time, the bus companies and the GMB operators will put up notices at the stops concerned and inside vehicle compartments to advise passengers of the above temporary public transport arrangements.
