ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Temporary Restricted Zones in Tak Ting Street, Hung Hom

    In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 11 June 2012 to 31 August 2012, the following road sections of Tak Ting Street will be temporarily designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily to facilitate the construction of Kwun Tong Line Extension: 

(a) the western kerbside lane of Tak Ting Street from its junction with Tak On Street to a point about 50 metres north of the same junction; and

(b) the eastern kerbside lane of Tak Ting Street from its junction with Tak On Street to a point about 40 metres north of the same junction. 

    Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from: 

(i) picking up or setting down passengers; or

(ii) loading or unloading goods. 

    The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
