Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements
to facilitate Emergency Tree Felling Works on Tuen Mun Road, Tsuen Wan
Motorists are advised that to facilitate the emergency tree felling works on Tuen Mun Road eastbound, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Tsuen Wan from 1.30 am to 5.00 am on 27 July 2012:
(A) Traffic Arrangements
(i) The middle and fast lane of Tuen Mun Road eastbound between Ting Kau and Yau Kom Tau Water Treatment Works will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic. Motorists are advised to use the slow lane of the above road section.
(ii) The slow and middle lane of Tuen Mun Road eastbound between Yau Kom Tau Water Treatment Works and Chai Wan Kok will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic. Motorists are advised to use the fast lane of the above road section.
(iii) Road Closure
The slip road leading from Tuen Mun Road eastbound to Castle Peak Road (Tsuen Wan) will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic.
(iv) Traffic Diversion
Affected Motorists on Tuen Mun Road eastbound heading to Tsuen Wan and Sha Tin are advised to travel via Tsuen Wan Road southbound and Tai Chung Road Interchange.
(B) Public Transport Arrangement
(i) Public Transport Services towards Kowloon
KMB Routes N260, N269 (Mei Foo bound) and Green Minibus (GMB) Route 49S (Wai Chai bound) will be diverted to operate via Tsuen Wan Road southbound, Tai Chung Road Interchange, Hoi Hing Road northbound, Chai Wan Kok Roundabout before resuming their normal routeings.
(C) Attention
Motorists are advised to drive with utmost care and patience. Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. At the same time, the bus companies and GMB will put up notices at the stops concerned and inside vehicle compartments to advise passengers of the above temporary public transport arrangements.
