ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374) 

Restricted Zones in North Point

 

In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 24 August 2012, the following road sections in North Point will be designated as restricted zones at the time specified below:

 

I.                    From 7.00 am to 7.00 pm daily

 

The western kerbside lane of Cheung Hong Street from its junction with Fort Street to a point about 35 metres north of the same junction.

 

II.                  From 7.00 am to 7.00 pm daily (except public holidays)

 

(a)         The section of North View Street from its junction with Ching Wah Street to a point about 15 metres north of the same junction;

(b)         The western kerbside lane of North View Street from a point about 15 metres south of its junction with Kin Wah Street to the same junction;

(c)         The section of Kin Wah Street from its junction with North View Street to a point about 25 metres west of the same junction; and

(d)         The southern kerbside lane of Kin Wah Street from a point about 20 metres east of its junction with Cheung Hong Street to the same junction.

 

III.                From 7.00 am to 12.00 midnight daily

 

(a)         The southern kerbside lane of Fort Street from its junction with North View Street to a point about 15 metres west of the same junction; and

(b)         The section of North View Street from a point about 10 metres south of its junction with Fort Street to the same junction.

 

Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

 

(a)          picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)          loading or unloading goods.

 

The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

 

At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
