Public Transport Arrangement for Permanent Closure

of Nam Cheong Station Public Transport Interchange

     Members of the public are advised that, in connection with the property development works, Nam Cheong Station Public Transport Interchange will be permanently closed with effect from 29 September 2012 (Saturday).

     The bus stops, Green Minibus (GMB) stands and taxi stand in Nam Cheong Station Public Transport Interchange will be relocated to Sham Shui Po (Tonkin Street West) Bus Terminus and Sham Mong Road (Figure). The associated service adjustments of the bus and GMB services operating via Nam Cheong Station Public Transport Interchange as well as the section of Sham Mong Road (outside MTR Nam Cheong Station and Fu Cheong Estate) will also be implemented. Major adjustments are as follows :

(1) The existing taxi stand at Nam Cheong Station Public Transport Interchange will be relocated to a point on Sham Mong Road (outside MTR Nam Cheong Station near Tonkin Street West) ;

(2) GMB Route No. 75 - Special Service Route (Nam Cheong Station Public Transport Interchange to Cheung Sha Wan (Castle Peak Road))

(3) KMB Route No. 12A (Nam Cheong Station Public Transport Interchange - Whampoa Garden) and KMB Route No. 18 (Nam Cheong Station Public Transport Interchange to Oi Man (Circular))

(4) NWFB Route No. 796C (Tseung Kwan O Public Transport Interchange - Nam Cheong Station)

(5) The existing enroute stops for NWFB Route No. 702 (Hoi Lai Estate to Yau Yat Tsuen (Circular)), NWFB Route No. 702S (So Uk to Cheung Sha Wan (Sham Shing Road) / Fu Cheong Estate to So Uk) and Cross Harbour Route No. 914 / 914X / 914P (Hoi Lai Estate - Causeway Bay (Tin Hau)) on Sham Mong Road (outside Fu Cheong Shopping Centre) will be cancelled and relocated to a point on Sham Mong Road (outside Fu Cheong Estate Car Park)

(6) NWFB Route No. 971 (Shek Pai Wan Estate Public Transport Interchange - Hoi Lai Estate)

(7) NWFB Route No. 701 / 701S (Hoi Lai Estate to Mong Kok (Circular) and NWFB Route No. 702A (Sham Mong Road (Aqua Marine) - Pak Tin))

     Appropriate signs will be provided on site to guide members of the public. The public transport operators will also display notices at the concerned stops and inside vehicle compartments to advise passengers of the above arrangements.
