Rationalization of KMB Route No. 81C and

Introduction of Morning Special Express Route Nos. 281X and 281B

 

                  Members of public are advised that with effect from 26 November 2012 (Monday), KMB will implement rationalization of route no. 81C.  Details are as follows:-

 

1.               Adjustments of terminus and routeing of KMB route no. 81C

The existing terminus of KMB route no. 81C at Hung Hom Railway Station will be relocated to Tsim Sha Tsui East (Mody Road)).  Besides, the route will operate via Yan On Estate for both bounds. 

    2.               Arrangements during morning peak hours

The Kowloon-bound of route no. 81C and 81C (special service) (Yiu On – Hung Hom Railway Station) and route no. 81P (Sha Tin Wai – Tsim Sha Tsui) before 10.00 am from Mondays to Saturdays (except Public Holidays) will be rationalizated as two bus route nos. 281X and 281B with details as follows:-

 

 

Route no. 281X

(Yiu On – Tsim Sha Tsui East (Mody Road))

Route no. 281B

(Shek Mun Estate - Tsim Sha Tsui East (Mody Road))

Routeing

The same routeing as Route 81C but omitting Tai Chung Kiu Road, Che Kung Miu Road and Hung Mui Kuk Road for Tsim Sha Tsui East bound.

 

On Ming Street, On Yiu Street, On Sum Street, Tai Chung Kiu Road, Che Kung Miu Road, Hung Mui Kuk Road, Lion Rock Tunnel Road, Lion Rock Tunnel, Waterloo Road, Nathan Road and Salisbury Road.

Additional Bus Stop Locations

1.   Hang Fai Street (opposite to Yan On Estate)

2.   Tsim Sha Tsui East (Mody Road)

1.   On Ming Street opposite to Shek Mun Estate

2.   Tsim Sha Tsui East (Mody Road)

The whole-day Yiu On-bound service of route no. 81C will not be affected.  The first departure of route no. 81C from Tsim Sha Tsui East (Mody Road) Bus Terminus is 6:40 a.m. 

    3.               Arrangement after morning peak hours

After morning peak hours, route no. 81C will operate as status quo.  The first departure of route no. 81C from Yiu On Bus Terminus is 10:12 a.m.

 

                  Notices will be put up by KMB at bus termini and en-route bus stops to advise passengers of the above service arrangements.
