ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374) 

Restricted Zones in Happy Valley

 

In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 5 July 2013, the following road sections in Happy Valley will be designated as restricted zones at the time specified below:

 

I.                    From 7.00 am to 7.00 pm daily

 

(a)          the section of Blue Pool Road from its southern junction with Green Lane to a point about 30 metres east of the same junction; and

(b)          the eastern kerbside lane of Green Lane from a point about 15 metres north of its southern junction with Blue Pool Road to the same junction.

 

II.                  24 hours daily

 

(a)         the northern kerbside lane of Blue Pool Road from a point about 10 metres west of its southern junction with Green Lane to the same junction;

(b)         the western kerbside lane of Green Lane from its southern junction with Blue Pool Road to a point about 15 metres north of the same junction; and

(c)         the southern kerbside lane of Green Lane westbound from its junction with Green Lane northbound to a point about 15 metres west of the same junction.

 

Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

 

(a)          picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)          loading or unloading goods.

 

The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
