Road Traffic Ordinance (Chapter 374)

Speed Limit on Kwun Tong Bypass, Kwun Tong District

     In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 5 July 2013, the following speed limits will be implemented in the sections of Kwun Tong Bypass westbound as follows:

• 1.   the current speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour on Kwun Tong Bypass westbound will be further extended for 40 metres westward from the slip road connecting to Wang Chiu Road and Kai Fuk Road.
• 2.   the section of slip road leading to Kai Fuk Road westbound will be subject to a speed limit of 70 kilometres per hour.

     The extent of speed limit will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

     At the same time, the speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour on the above road sections will be rescinded.
