Members of the public are advised that New World First Bus Route No. 18X (Kennedy Town (Belcher Bay) – Shau Kei Wan) will be introduced with effect from 14 July 2013 (Sunday).
NWFB Route No. 18X
Departures from Kennedy Town (Belcher Bay) of New World First Bus Route No. 18X (Kennedy Town (Belcher Bay) – Shau Kei Wan) will travel via Sai Ying Pun, Connaught Road West, Connaught Road Central, Gloucester Road, Island Eastern Corridor, North Point, Quarry Bay, Taikoo Shing, Sai Wan Ho and terminate at Shau Kei Wan Bus Terminus. For departures from Shau Kei Wan, the bus will travel via Sai Wan Ho, Taikoo Shing, Quarry Bay, North Point, Island Eastern Corridor, Gloucester Road, Connaught Road Central, Connaught Road West, Sai Ying Pun and terminate at Kennedy Town (Belcher Bay) Bus Terminus. Services will be provided from 7.00 am to 7.40 pm on Mondays to Saturdays and from 9.00 am to 7.40 pm on Sundays and public holidays at a headway of 20 minutes. The full fare of the service will be $8.00 and section fare will be provided.
In connection with the introduction of Route No. 18X, service adjustments for NWFB Route Nos. 2, 18, 720 and 720A will be implemented as follows:
NWFB Route No. 2
The service hour of New World First Bus Route No. 2 (Sai Wan Ho (Grand Promenade) – Central (Macau Ferry)) will be adjusted. The new service hour of Central bound and Sai Wan Ho bound will be from 5.45 am to 12.00 midnight and 6.50 am to 1.00 am respectively. The headway of the route will also be adjusted to 12-20 minutes.
NWFB Route No. 18
The terminal point at Western District of New World First Bus Route No. 18 (Kennedy Town (Belcher Bay) – North Point (Healthy Street Central)) will be relocated to Connaught Road West outside Hong Kong Plaza. For departures from North Point (Healthy Street Central), a new bus stop will be provided on Connaught Road West outside Connaught Garden, while the original bus stops between Western Market and Belcher Bay will be cancelled. For departures from Connaught Road West, the original bus stops between Belcher Bay and Hill Road will be cancelled. At the same time, the service hour of the route will be adjusted. The new service hour of Western District bound and North Point bound will be from 5.30 am to 8.00 pm and 6.06 am to 12.06 am respectively. The headway of the route will also be adjusted to 7-15 minutes.
NWFB Route No. 720
The service of New World First Bus Route No. 720 (Sai Wan Ho (Grand Promenade) – Central (Macau Ferry)) will be adjusted. Departures during the period between 5.50 am and 8.56 am on Mondays to Saturdays (except public holiday) operate as circular route and terminate at Gilman Street, omitting Taikoo Shing and Admiralty. The routeing of Central bound departures from 9.06 am to 11.25 pm on Mondays to Saturdays and whole day on Sundays and public holidays will remain unchanged. Sai Wan Ho bound service from 9.32 am to 6.47 pm on Mondays to Saturdays will depart at Central (Macau Ferry) Bus Terminus and travel via Harcourt Road, Gloucester Road and Taikoo Shing, with an additional bus stop on Harcourt Road outside Central Government Offices. Sai Wan Ho bound departures from 6.57 pm to 12.10 am on Mondays to Saturdays and whole day on Sundays and public holidays, will travel via Queensway, Lockhart Road and Taikoo Shing.
NWFB Route No. 720A
New World First Bus Route No. 720A (Sai Wan Ho (Grand Promenade) – Admiralty (Circular)) will be converted to a morning-peak-only-service with service hour from 5.56 am to 9.00 am on Mondays to Saturdays. The headway will be 10-16 minutes and 15-17 minutes on Mondays to Fridays and on Saturdays respectively.
