ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS CHAPTER 374

TEMPORARY RESTRICTED ZONES ON YAN OI TONG CIRCUIT

AND CASTLE PEAK ROAD IN TUEN MUN

                   In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulations 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 31 August 2013 to 10.00 am on 31 December 2013, the following road sections in Tuen Mun will be temporarily designated restricted zones 24 hours daily:

(i) the western kerbside lane of Castle Peak Road - San Hui from its northern junction with Yan Oi Tong Circuit to a point about 15 metres south of the same junction;

(ii) the northern kerbside lane of Yan Oi Tong Circuit from its northern junction with Castle Peak Road - San Hui to a point about 45 metres west of the same junction;

(iii) the southern kerbside lane of Yan Oi Tong Circuit from its northern junction with Castle Peak Road - San Hui to a point about 50 metres west of the same junction (excluding the parking spaces); and

(iv) the section of Yan Oi Tong Circuit from a point about 50 metres west of its southern junction with Castle Peak Road - San Hui to a point about 80 metres west of the same junction (excluding the parking space).

                  Within the above restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-

(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b) loading or unloading goods.

                   The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

                  At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
