Temporary Closure of Tuen Mun Road (Town Centre Section)

      Notice is hereby given that to facilitate the noise barrier construction works and road works at Tuen Mun Road (Town Centre Section), the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Tuen Mun during the following periods daily on 17 to 19 and 24 to 29 September 2013:

(I)  From 1.45 am to 6.00 am

A)  Road Closure

The section of Tuen Mun Road northbound from its southern junction with Tuen Hi Road to its junction with Yuk Hong Street will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic.

B)  Traffic Diversion

Affected motorists on Tuen Mun Road northbound heading for Yuen Long are advised to travel via Wong Chu Road westbound, Tsing Wun Road northbound, Ming Kum Road northbound and Tsing Tin Road eastbound.

C)  Public Transport Arrangements

The following bus and GMB routes will be temporarily diverted:

via Tuen Lung Street westbound, Tuen Shun Street soutbound, Tuen Hop Street westbound, Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road northbound, Yuk Hong Street and then resume to original routeing.

 

GMB Route No. 606S

To Yuen Long

via Tuen Lung Street westbound, Tuen Shun Street soutbound, Tuen Hop Street westbound, Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road northbound, Yuk Hong Street and then resume to original routeing.

       (II)  From 1.00 am to 5.30 am

A)  Road Closure

The section of Tuen Mun Road southbound from its northern junction with Tuen Fat Road to a point about 1,065 metres south of the same junction will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic.

B)    Traffic diversion

(a)   Affected motorists on Tuen Mun Road southbound heading for Tsuen Wan are advised to travel via Pui To Road westbound, Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road southbound, Hoi Chu Road westbound, Hoi Wong Road northbound and Wong Chu Road eastbound.

(b)  Affected motorists on Tuen Mun Road southbound heading for Tuen Mun (West) are advised to travel via Pui To Road westbound, Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road southbound, Hoi Chu Road westbound, Hoi Wong Road northbound and Wong Chu Road westbound.

(c)   Affected motorists on Tuen Hing Road heading for Tsuen Wan are advised to travel via Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road southbound, Hoi Chu Road westbound, Hoi Wong Road northbound and Wong Chu Road eastbound; and

(d)  Affected motorists on Tuen Hing Road heading for Tuen Mun (West) are advised to travel via Tuen Mun Heug Sze Wui Road southbound, Hoi Chu Road westbound, Hoi Wong Road northbound, Wong Chu Road westbound.

C)  Public Transport Arrangements

The following Green Mini-Bus (GMB) routes will be temporarily diverted:

To Tsim Sha Tsui East

via Tuen Lee Street, Castle Peak Road northbound, Pui To Road westbound, Tsing Wun Road southbound, Wong Chu Road eastbound, and then resume to original routeing.

 

GMB Route No. 610S

To Tsim Sha Tsui

via Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road southbound, Hoi Chu Road westbound, Hoi Wong Road northbound, Wong Chu Road eastbound, and then resume to original routeing.

 

No stop of the above GMB routes will be affected.

Appropriate traffic aids will be erected on site. Motorists are advised to follow the instructions on site and drive in utmost care. At the same time, the bus and GMB operators will put up notices to advise passengers of the above temporary public transport arrangements.
