Traffic Advice

Rationalization of KMB Route Nos. 85X (Ma On Shan Town Centre Hung Hom Ferry Concourse), 85C (Ma On Shan Town Centre to Hung Hom Ferry Concourse) and 85S (Yiu On to Hung Hom Ferry Concourse) 

                  Members of public are advised that rationalization of KMB route nos. 85X, 85C and 85S will be implemented with effect from 28 December 2013 (Saturday).  Details are as follows:-

(A)           KMB route no. 85X

The Ma On Shan bound of the route after traveling on Prince Edward Road East will skip Choi Hung Road, Po Kong Village Road, Fung Tak Road, Lung Poon Street, Diamond Hill Station Bus Terminus, Lung Poon Street and Tai Hom Road and divert to travel via Kwun Tong Bypass and Tate’s Cairn Tunnel before resuming its normal routeing to Ma On Shan Town Centre.  The routeing for Hung Hom bound service will remain unchanged.

The following bus stop will be added:

-       Prince Edward Road East outside house no. 690 near The Latitude

The following bus stops will be cancelled:

-       Choi Hung Road near Lok Sin Tong Wong Chung Ming Secondary School

-       Choi Hung Road near Wong Tai Sin Police Station

-       Fung Tak Road outside Pan Fung House, Fung Tak Estate

-       Diamond Hill Station Bus Terminus

Affected passengers may take route no. 85X at Prince Edward Road East outside house no. 690 near The Latitude or take route nos. 82X (Ravana Garden Wong Tai Sin (Circular)) or 85M (Kam Ying Court Wong Tai Sin (Circular)).

 (B)         KMB route no. 85C

KMB route no. 85C will cease its service with effect from 28 December 2013  (Saturday)

Affected passengers may take route no. 85X and interchange route nos. 75X (Fu Shin Estate – Kowloon City Ferry) or 84M (Chevalier Garden – Lok Fu) by using Octopus cards at the en-route stop of Tate’s Cairn Tunnel Toll Plaza.

 (C)         KMB route no. 85S

The service heading to Hung Hom will be re-routed via Hang Fai Street, Ma On Shan with 2 newly added bus stops at Hang Fai Street opposite to Yan On Estate and Tate’s Cairn Tunnel Toll Plaza.  At the same time, an additional departure at 7.45 am from Yiu On will be provided. 

 

 

                  Notices will be displayed by KMB to advise passengers of the above service adjustments.
